Contribution Highlights:
- The College of Engineering secured a $4 million lead campaign gift from the Beall Family Foundation to establish the first endowed deanship at the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering. Don Beall, former chairman and CEO of Rockwell, is a 1960 engineering graduate and the recipient of the 2008 Tower Award.
- The College of Science garnered a $1 million gift from emeritus faculty member Dr. Jean Beard to establish the PERSIST (Professional Education Regional Services in Science Teaching) program. PERSIST will expand and enhance the science education program and support science in kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Abbott Laboratories contributed $100,000 to support the development of the Master of Medical Product Development Management program in the College of Science, and funded two annual $5,000 scholarships for students admitted to the new program.
