Contribution Highlights:
- A conversation between a student phone-a-thon
caller and an alumnus led to a $5.9 million estate gift commitment in support of the Aquatic Center's nationally recognized programs.
- A $1 million gift from the estate of Almond and Betty Curien has endowed a scholarship benefiting four colleges, greatly enhancing the university's ability to recruit and retain good students.
- A $500,000 gift made to honor John and Myrna Stremple will benefit an endowed scholarship in math and science, as well as the football program.
- Hazel Cramer, a member of CSU Sacramento's Legacy Circle, wanted to see students benefit from her scholarship during her lifetime, so she made a $500,000 gift to establish her named endowment.
- An anonymous family continued its support of the Sokiku Nakatani Tea Room and Garden with a $300,000 pledge. The tea room and garden serves as a unique venue for the teaching and practice of the Japanese way of tea, as well as for cultural activities related to the arts of Japan.
