Contribution Highlights:
- A transformational gift of $30 million was received from alumnus Steven G. Mihaylo ('69) for naming the College of Business and Economics. The gift will be used to support four specific areas: endowed chairs, faculty support, student scholarships and programmatic initiatives.
- The Bernard Osher Foundation provided a $1 million endowment for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, creating unique opportunities for retired and semiretired
individuals to participate in an extensive program of classes, lectures, special events, travel and social gatherings.
- The estate of Dr. Raymond Adams, a founding professor of the university's Department of Physics, added over $600,000 to an endowed scholarship that was created 10 years earlier and continues to recognize deserving students for creativity in instructional laboratory experiment projects aimed to benefit instruction in physics courses.
