Contribution Highlights:
- For the inauguration of Mildred García as the seventh president of CSU Dominguez Hills, over $180,000 was raised for the President's Scholars program, which awards scholarships to highachieving
and deserving students.
- Two $100,000 endowed funds were created to honor emeriti faculty. The ChiouHsiung
"Bear" Chang Endowed Memorial Scholarship was created in the College of Business Administration & Public Policy, and the Sutton Research in English Endowment Fund was established in the College of Arts & Humanities.
- The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation and The Boeing Company each supported the Toro Summer Bridge Program, a seven-week
transitional program for first-time
freshmen that includes an English course, an intense mathematics program and a course to help participants develop personally, socially and intellectually.
