Contribution Highlights:
- In its inaugural year, the Cal Poly Foundation board spearheaded a drive
that added $4 million of private support toward a $17 million total for the new
Center for Science and Mathematics.
- Oreggia Family Foundation continued its support for the College of Agriculture,
Food and Environmental Sciences with a $642,000 cash gift and a $1.5 million
challenge for the Agriculture Technology Center.
- Emeritus faculty member Max Wills pledged over $1 million to endow the Susan
Currier Visiting Professorship in memory of his wife who was associate dean in
the College of Liberal Arts.
- Acquisition of Mid-State Bank & Trust by Rabobank created opportunities
for 10 appreciated stock gifts totaling $2.2 million, including million dollar
gifts from Richard and Joyce Andrews and Bill and Phyllis Snelling.
