Contribution Highlights:
- Alumnus Mike Curb, former California lieutenant governor, pledged $10
million to support construction of a new world-class performing arts center.
The Mike Curb College of Arts, Media & Communications was named in his honor.
- The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics in
the College of Health and Human Development received a $2.2 million bequest
commitment from volunteer Frances Thorton Thieriot.
- The Whitsett Foundation closed its operations by making one last gift of
$180,000 to the History Department. Over 20 years ago, the Whitsett Foundation
funded one of the first academic chairs in the CSU system.
