Contribution Highlights:

  • A $1.7 million remainder interest from the Marian K. Krause Revocable Trust funded a scholarship endowment for humanities and journalism students.
  • The Bernard Osher Foundation gifted $100,000 to create the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at CSU Monterey Bay, providing learning opportunities for adults who are 50+.
  • Alumni giving and participation continues to grow at an impressive rate; total giving from alumni last year exceeded the previous year by 180 percent.
  • The Verizon Foundation awarded $75,000 for the Thinkfinity project to bring high-quality, standards-based Internet content into K-12 classrooms.
