Contribution Highlights:
- The value of gifts, pledges and bequests recorded in 2006-2007
nearly doubled the average achieved during the preceding three years.
The endowment increased by 58 percent during the year.
- The Bernard Osher Foundation awarded $1 million each to the
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and the re-entry student Program
for Accelerated College Education (PACE).
- Members of the local Sikh and Punjabi communities completed a
campaign to create the university’s first academic chair.
- Sixteen prominent alumni and members of the community joined the
CSU East Bay Education Foundation board in anticipation of the first
comprehensive campaign.
