Contribution Highlights:
- Alex Spanos, alumnus, entrepreneur and owner of the San Diego
Chargers, and his wife, Faye, pledged an additional $4 million toward
the renovation of the Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
- The Bernard Osher Foundation established a $1 million endowment to
support Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which offers education programs
for those over 50 years old interested in continual learning.
- John and Gay Lau, owners of Yosemite Meat Company and parents of
alumni, pledged $1 million to support the construction of the J & G
Lau Family Meat Processing Center within the Animal Science Department.
- The Oreggia Family Foundation, which was established after the passing
of Cal Poly friend and supporter, Arden Oreggia, donated $474,000 to the
College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences to support priority
projects within the college.
