Contribution Highlights:
- Phase III of the “Nurses Now” initiative, a collaboration between SDSU
and local healthcare organizations to address the shortage of nurses,
secured more than $1.8 million in cash and pledges. To date, “Nurses Now”
has raised more than $3.5 million in support for nursing education.
- The SDSU BioScience Center raised more than $700,000. The center
offers students the opportunity to work with professors on advanced
molecular biology research projects.
- The J.R. Filanc Construction & Engineering Management Program received
a $3 million endowment gift from Jack and Jane Filanc; the gift provides
operational support and will underwrite a biannual J.R. Filanc Lecture
Series in Construction Engineering Ethics.
- The new College of Arts and Letters building secured over $325,000 in
naming gifts. All naming gifts will be used to support merit scholarships.
