Contribution Highlights:
- The Imagine the Arts Center campaign led campus fundraising successes
with more than $5 million of new lead gifts, including $2 million from
San Fernando Valley philanthropist Clyde Porter.
- The College of Engineering and Computer Science received a $2 million
commitment to endow a center on innovation and entrepreneurship from San
Fernando Valley entrepreneur Ernest Schaeffer, whose company, Schaeffer
Magnetics, has figured prominently in the United States Space Program for decades.
- Planned gifts and planned gift commitments represented nearly $10 million
of the total funds raised for the year. The Oviatt Library received nearly
$3 million in gifts and commitments toward a future library expansion.
