Contribution Highlights:
- The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security provided a $1 million
grant to develop and implement statewide standards for maritime security
training, drills and exercises for companies and government facilities
involved in moving freight to and from the nation’s harbors.
- Ten founding members initiated the Golden Bear Society. Members have
committed over $1 million in legacy gifts from charitable trusts and bequests.
- The second annual Gala Dinner Dance and Auction was a success, raising
more than $40,000 for scholarships and other programs. The
Kingsbury Memorial Golf Tournament was sold out and netted $30,000
for the Kingsbury Scholarship Endowment.
