Contribution Highlights:
- The university continued to increase its gift receipts by an annual average
of 20 percent for the fourth consecutive year.
- The Science Laboratory Center was named for alumnus Dan Black in
recognition of his $4.2 million gift for the College of Natural Sciences
and Mathematics. The gift established the Dan Black Program in Physics
and Business designed for physics majors who want to apply their technical
knowledge to launch businesses or join the management teams of technology-related
companies.
- Decades-long efforts to build a premier performing arts center culminated
with the opening of a $39 million center in January.
