TEC-Lab

Purpose
The TEC offers a controlled networking environment where changes to hardware and software, such as new releases, patches, and upgrades, can be tested and evaluated before being implemented in a production environment. The test environment contains all standard baseline equipment configured in compliance with the CSU Standard Operating Environment (SOE). Additional routers, switches, servers, and workstations have been included in the test network so that the lab can be used to simulate most campus environments. The lab is open to all CSU campus technical personnel and project vendors.

Utilizing the TEC
The lab can be utilized using a simple, three-step process:

  1. Plan your session by completing and returning the TEC Request Form to tec@calstate.edu.
  2. Conduct your session either by Remote Lab Access, or on-site at The California State University, Office of the Chancellor in Long Beach, CA.
  3. Evaluate and share your test results with other users by completing the Testing Documentation Form. Don't forget to let us know how we're doing by completing the Customer Satisfaction Survey!
