Dr. Zulmara Cline is currently an Associate Director in Teacher Education and Public School Programs for the CSU Chancellor's Office. Dr. Cline earned her doctorate in Education, Policy, and Leadership at UCSB. Before coming to the Chancellor's Office, she was a professor of Literacy at the College of Education at Cal State San Marcos. In that position, she was responsible for teaching literacy, multicultural and leadership classes.
Before coming to the CSU, Dr. Cline worked for the Lompoc Unified School District in various capacities. Her last position there was an administrative position as Director of the Even Start Family Literacy Project. Additionally, she was the migrant coordinator and directed a migrant pre-school for the district. She started her educational career as a kindergarten teacher, which she taught for 10 years before moving into administrative positions.
