4064.01  UNIFORMS

The Government Code provides for uniform allowances for certain 
employees required to wear uniforms in the performance of duties if the 
uniform is clearly necessary for ready visual identification by the public for 
law enforcement, public safety, or other closely related purposes and if it is 
authorized for wear only in an official capacity.  Uniforms purchased with 
uniform allowances shall be the property of the employee.
