4061.02  WEAPONS TRAINING

Operational training and qualification must be accomplished periodically 
with both on-duty and off-duty firearms as prescribed by Directors of Public 
Safety.  Permanent and verified records should be maintained regarding the 
performance of each Public Safety Officer during firearms qualification.  Legal 
and moral training regarding firearms must be accomplished at least 
semiannually and should include review of the following:

1.	Legal constraints in the use of firearms.
2.	Campus policy for the use of firearms.
3.	Moral responsibilities in the use of firearms.
