2808.02.02.03  PERMANENT AND TOTAL DISABILITY

All loans:  100 percent cancellation upon receipt of evidence of a medically 
determinable impairment that precludes gainful employment and is expected 
to continue for an indefinite period or to result in death.  Final determination 
of eligibility is made by the Secretary of HHS based on the institution's 
recommendation.
