2802.01.04  TEACHER/MILITARY CANCELLATION REIMBURSEMENT

The institution will receive notification of reimbursement for 
teacher/military cancellations for NDSL loans made prior to and/or after July 
1, 1972 (see SUAM Appendix BA 2985-ABS).

The reimbursement for cancellation of loans made prior to July 1, 1972 
(National Defense) is the institution's pro rata portion of the loans cancelled 
during the indicated award period and is credited to General Fund---
Reimbursements.

Reimbursement for cancellation of loans made after July 1, 1972 (National 
Direct) includes both the federal and institutional portions of principal and 
interest cancelled and must be deposited in the NDSL fund.
