2800  FINANCIAL AID BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The following paragraphs present an overview of the administration of the 
financial aid programs for the business offices of The California State 
University and will serve as a basic reference document for the Financial Aid 
Business Office.  The material has been organized according to the functions 
performed in the business office.

Because of the magnitude of information and knowledge needed to 
administer the business aspects of the financial aid programs, references to 
additional detailed material and information about each subject matter have 
been provided in a bibliography; see SUAM Appendix BA 2980-ABS.  Campus 
personnel should know what source documents govern the administration 
of these programs and be able to use those documents effectively.  Therefore, 
this section of SUAM is to be used in conjunction with the publications listed 
in the Bibliography.  It is imperative that each Financial Aid Business Office 
obtain all the documents and publications listed in the Bibliography and have 
them available in the office for ready access.
