2146  LICENSE AGREEMENT

Reference:  Section 42000(b) and 42001, Article 5, Title 5, California Code of 
Regulations.

The housing license agreement represents a contract between the campus and 
the licensee.  The license agreement is

"...approved by the president [and] grants permission to use a housing facility 
and... contains the terms and conditions upon which such use is permitted."

To properly execute the license agreement, 

"...each licensee shall sign the license on or before the beginning of the fee 
period...The campus shall retain the license and a copy of the terms and 
conditions thereof shall be provided to the licensee."

A standard License Agreement format designed to meet all required legal 
provisions and operational needs of the campus is presented in Appendix BA 
2910.20.  In addition to the required legal provision, the campus should 
include campus regulations covering all subjects not covered in the license 
agreement.
