2138 FINANCING

Financing for on-campus student housing capital outlay projects is available
from five sources:

1.	Loans from systemwide reserves (see SUAM 2134).
2.	Revenue bonds proceeds (see SUAM 2142).
3.	Loans from the Affordable Student Housing Revolving Fund (see
	SUAM 2140).
4.	Capital improvement reserves (see SUAM 2132).
5.	Auxiliary Organizations (Manual of Policies and Procedures for
	Auxiliary Organizations).

Major capital outlay projects can be funded by any combination of these
funding sources. The student housing capital outlay five year financial plan
developed by the campus in consultation with the office of Auxiliary and
Business Services identifies the funding sources and the associated debt and
reserve payments for the proposed project. Campuses are advised to meet
with appropriate staff from Auxiliary and Business Services during the early
stages of the project to identify possible funding alternatives.
