Student Union Decentralization – Eligible Campuses

Per the attached memorandum from Richard P. West to your campus dated April 30, 2004 on Student Union Decentralization – Available for Eligible Campuses (refer to attachment A), the campuses that have student union programs affected by the decentralization process will experience significant changes to the accounting process commencing with the 2004/05 fiscal year.

In an effort to ease the transition, Systemwide Financial Operations division has identified on attachment B the major accounting processes under both the centralized and decentralized operating methods. In addition, the office of Finance and Treasury with the collaboration from Systemwide Financial Operations will be developing a training session to assist campuses with the implementation of the student union decentralization program.
