Lottery Fund SMIF Interest FY02 January 1, 2003 thru June 30, 2003

Beginning with fiscal year 2002-03, Lottery Fund disbursements will be processed by check instead of allocation order, as in the past. The only exception to this is for Humboldt State, which will be by an Allocation Order. A check with reference to ADNOAT 03-71 is being mailed to each campus on July 22 to fund the FY02 period of Jan2003-June 30, 2003. This is in accordance with the 2002-03 Lottery Program approved by the Board of Trustees.

The check is referenced as "Lottery SMIF Jan03-June03." These transactions should be treated as non-expenditure fund transfers from the Lottery Fund to the local trust fund. Campuses are requested to record these disbursements in their local trust accounts in FY03 as follows:

CAMPUSES REQUIRE NO ENTRY FOR FY02 LEGAL BOOKS, AS THE CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE WILL BOOK FOR ALL CAMPUSES. THE INTEREST WAS BOOKED BY THE SCO IN JULY 2003 AND THE CHECKS WERE ISSUED IN JULY 2003. YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK AFTER THE CLOSE OF FY02.
