Subject: CSU Process Mapping Project - Campus Participant Costs
This memorandum is to complete the financial arrangements for the 
California State University Process Mapping Project.  This project is a 
result of a recommendation from the Benchmarking Task Force and the 
concurrence of the Chief Financial Business Officers (CABO) based upon 
reports on the overall benchmarking and related projects to date.

It was reported at the last CABO meeting that two functions, Student 
Counter Services and Building Design & Construction, would be process 
mapped at ten different CSU campuses (five campuses for each 
function).  We have negotiated a contract with Coopers & Lybrand to 
conduct this project for a total amount of $400,000.  Under this 
agreement, each of the campuses involved with Student Counter 
Services will be assessed $15,000 and the campuses involved with 
Building Design & Construction will be assessed $10,000.  System funds 
will pay the remaining balance.

We have requested the State ControllerÕs Office to make the transfer 
indicated on Attachment ÒAÓ with PFA #654.
