About the Tour

The CSU and AT&T Road to College Tour was financed in part by a $1.6 million grant from AT&T to the CSU Foundation. The goals of the Road to College Tour were to support CSU in its efforts to increase underserved student access to the university, and to help AT&T build a pipeline of future college-educated workforce professionals.

The bus tour stopped at three different venues: selected high schools in urban areas; selected college fairs; and CSU’s annual high school and community college Counselor Conferences. At each stop, a team of students and CSU staff members assisted students, teachers and counselors with exploring a variety of information. Students at each grade level were exposed to the college preparation process including required courses and tests, information about the college application and admissions process, financial aid and scholarship resources, and more. Students, teachers and counselors participated in an interactive experience on laptops and received handouts to take with them.
