Consortium of Applied Social Science Research Centers (CASSRC)
CASSRC centers offer a wide variety of applied research services. Undergraduate students seeking experience in applied social research can find a variety of opportunities to get involved with their campus CASSRC research center or institute.
Council on Ocean Affairs, Science and Technology (COAST)
COAST provides vision, leadership, and support throughout the CSU system for education, policy, and research related to California’s marine, estuarine, and coastal regions, and to promote the public dissemination of knowledge gained to foster stewardship and sustainable use of California’s coast. COAST has information for students on external funding opportunities, conferences, special short courses, internships, and jobs.
CSU Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB)
CSUPERB’s mission is to develop a professional biotechnology workforce by mobilizing and supporting collaborative CSU student and faculty research, innovating educational practices, and responding to and anticipating the needs of the life sciences industry.
Water Resources and Policy Initiatives (WRPI)
WRPI targets the capabilities and resources within the 23 California State University campuses to provide academic preparation, applied research and policy development that address all aspects of water use.
