Research Initiatives and Partnerships Blog Subscription Information

You may subscribe to the Research Initiatives and Partnerships blog's RSS feed in one of the following ways.

Firefox (Recommended for the Chancellor’s Office)

  1. On the Research Updates main page (http://blogs.calstate.edu/rip), click the web feed icon rss icon at the right side of the window in which the URL appears.
  2. The Add Live Bookmark dialog will appear. Click on Subscribe Now

    Modify the name and Create in location, if you wish.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Research Updates will then appear on your toolbar or in your Bookmarks.

Internet Explorer 7

  1. On the Research Updates main page (http://blogs.calstate.edu/rip), click the web feed icon rss icon that appears in the URL window next to the internet explorer home icon Home button.
  2. This will take you to a new page. At the top of the page, click on Subscribe to this Feed.
  3. Click Subscribe in the next dialogue box.
  4. The feed will now be available in your Favorites menu, where you can check for updates to the blog.

Internet Explorer 6

  • This version does not have a feed reader built into the browser. Instead, you can use a standalone RSS aggregator or feed reader, or upgrade to IE7, then follow the instructions above.

Safari

  1. When you visit a website that offers an RSS feed, a blue RSS button appears in the URL field:
  2. Click the button to view the article summaries in its feed or click any article title to view the full article.
  3. If you want to bookmark that RSS feed, choose Add Bookmark from the Bookmarks menu, type a name for the bookmark in the resulting dialog (such as "Apple News RSS"), and click Add.

Outlook 2007

  1. On the Tools menu, click Account Settings.
  2. On the RSS Feeds tab, click New.
  3. In the New RSS Feed dialog box, type or press CTRL+V to paste the URL of the RSS Feed: http://blogs.calstate.edu/rip/?feed=rss2.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click OK.
