A Message from the QI Steering Committee Chair

David DeMauro - ChairI am very proud to be a part of the California State University Quality Improvement Program. This outstanding effort has now served the faculty, students and staff of the CSU for more than 13 years. The program began in 1993 with a benchmarking program, expanding in the ‘90s to customer satisfaction surveys, and now encompasses performance measurement, process improvement, best practices, Balanced Scorecard and more.

The focus of the program has been to support the CSU community in its quality improvement efforts. By utilizing customer satisfaction surveys and performance measurement tools, campuses are better able to identify opportunities for improvement and improve efficiencies. The program also leverages CSU resources by providing campuses a forum for sharing successes and learning from one another.

There is enormous value in utilizing the resources available through the CSU Quality Improvement Program. The program helps enable campuses to pursue their mission, vision and goals through a well-organized and coordinated effort. The success of campus quality improvement efforts and the CSU Quality Improvement Program are illustrated in this report.
