CSU Campuses Recognized as California’s Safest
December 2, 2011
California State University campuses constitute 21 of the 46 colleges and universities with the highest safety ratings in the state. The campuses were recently lauded in StateUniversity.com’s 2011 list, which ranked college and university safety based on a scale that accounts for both crime severity and frequency.
The high rankings among CSU campuses demonstrate the commitment university/campus police have in promoting and maintaining a safe campus environment, as well as their dedication to serving CSU students, employees and communities.
Eight CSUs—San Marcos, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Fullerton, Pomona, Dominguez Hills, and Bakersfield—were included in the top 20.
