CSU to Present 5th Annual Quality Improvement Symposium & Expo

Daylong event will highlight campus achievements and current programs and services

The annual event, which will be held Friday, Nov. 8, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, California, will feature exhibits from a number of CSU campuses where improvement programs were successfully implemented. Some of the campuses achievements include:

• CSU Northridge, which, through extensive customer service training and retreats, re- focused their organization to become a more "User-Friendly Campus"
• San Francisco State University, which will highlight several programs, at various stages of implementation, which have been developed to enhance the quality of service to the campus community.

The Symposium and Expo is sponsored by the CSU Quality Improvement Steering Committee, which promotes continuous quality and productivity improvement in the California State University through support for: quality enhancement strategies, frameworks and tools; on- going training, education, and communication; assessment of customer needs and satisfaction; performance and outcome measures; process evaluation and improvement methods; systematic identification and transfer of best practices; and campus and/or systemwide collaboration.
