20 CSU CAMPUSES AMONG HISPANIC OUTLOOK'S PUBLISHER'S PICKS
Twenty of California State University's 22 campuses are among The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education's "Publisher's Picks," a national list of those colleges and universities that the publication views as offering solid opportunities for Hispanic students. According to Hispanic Outlook, the institutions selected "are learning what it takes to attract, enable, retain and motivate Hispanic students."
The CSU campuses included are: Bakersfield, Chico, Dominguez Hills, Fresno, Fullerton, Hayward, Humboldt, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Monterey Bay, Northridge, Pomona, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, San Marcos, and Stanislaus.
The CSU is one of the most diverse higher education institutions in the nation with minority enrollment at 52 percent, more than twice the national average for four-year public universities. In fact, 10 of the nation's top 30 universities in number of baccalaureate degrees awarded to minorities are CSU institutions. In number of Hispanic baccalaureate degrees awarded, CSU campuses account for seven of the top 20 in the nation.
