Gov. Schwarzenegger awards CA nursing students with grants

Good new for nursing students at Cal State Bakersfield, the school will be getting thousands of dollars in grant money from the state.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger awarded $3 million in grants to 16 different nursing schools in the state Thursday.

The grants are to help with the state’s medical professional shortage.

The funds will help nursing schools attract and educate additional nursing students across the state.
