The Orange County Register/5-4-04 CSUF educator may land new job |

FULLERTON – Two university administrators with Orange County ties are among the three finalists to replace the retiring president of California State University, Bakersfield, officials said Monday. Ephraim Smith, Cal State Fullerton's vice president for academic affairs, is slated to visit the Bakersfield campus for meetings and interviews May 11. Horace Mitchell, a vice chancellor at the University of California, Berkeley, and a former vice chancellor at UC Irvine, is slated to visit May 12. G. Timothy Haight, a dean at Cal State Los Angeles, is the third candidate. CSU trustees are scheduled to interview the finalists May 17 and name
the new president later that week. |
