Chamber adds colleges chief
By Lesli A. Maxwell

The California Chamber of Commerce has chosen the chancellor of the state's community college system to serve on its board of directors.

Mark Drummond, who has been in the top post for the state's largest system of higher education since January, is the first community college chancellor to be selected for the panel.

Most members of the board are high-ranking executives in California-based companies and businesses. Drummond will join three other educators who serve on the panel, including University of California President Robert Dynes and James M. Rosser, president of California State University, Los Angeles.
