Contra Costa Times 1-7-04 Panel to find new Cal chancellor |
|
|
The search for a new leader for Berkeley's campus of the University of California will begin soon. UC president Robert Dynes has appointed a 17-member advisory committee to help find a replacement for UC Berkeley chancellor Robert Berdahl, who plans to step down in June. Dynes aims to recommend a candidate to the board of regents in April. The committee includes regents, faculty, staff, students and alumni. It will meet Jan. 28 to gather ideas from the campus and community to better understand Cal's needs. In addition, the committee will help recruit, screen and conduct interviews with the candidates.
