New student trustee sought for CSU board
Candidate must be at least a junior, have good grades to qualify

The California State Student Association is accepting applications from students interested in becoming the next student trustee on the California State University Board.

The student trustee is a full voting member of the 23-member board and represents students' interests on the policy-setting body. Trustees set CSU policy on everything from fees and admissions to technology.

Any CSU student in good standing who will be at least a junior by July 1 and who carries at least a 2.0 grade point average is eligible to apply. Duties include attending the trustees' seven regularly scheduled board meetings each year, as well as attending CSSA's monthly conferences. Applicants should be able to travel extensively throughout the state.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on March 9 and interviews will be conducted in April.
