to California State University, Stanislaus. The school says it will investigate
the recent incident of some falsified results in a telephone survey to
measure the court's ability to find a nonbiased jury for the Scott Peterson
trial. Investigating is a good idea, but announcing immediately that such
an investigation could "take months" hints of dragging out the
probe until it can slip beneath the radar. We would prefer a promise of
a vigorous probe with regular updates. |
