Modesto Bee 2-17-04 Stan State health center keeps top status for quality standards |
|
The California State University, Stanislaus, Student Health Center recently received notification that it has been granted a full three-year accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. This is the fifth-consecutive cycle of full accreditation since 1991 when the health center first sought such status. The accreditation means the center has passed a series of nationally recognized standards for providing quality health care. The accreditation association is a nonprofit organization that helps health care organizations improve the quality of care to their patients. This three-year accreditation recognition, the maximum awarded by the association, comes after an extensive on-site survey of the Turlock and Stockton health facilities and services last October. More than 1,300 ambulatory health care organizations across the United
States are accredited by the association, including most CSU student health
centers. |
