The new appointees are Anthony Alvarado, 61, of Coronado, former chancellor of instruction for the San Diego Unified School District; Margaret Quinones, 49, of Santa Monica, a counselor at El Camino College in Torrance; J. Steven Rhodes, 54, of Los Angeles, founder and chief executive officer of Claiborne-Rhodes Inc., an investment company; and Sara Martinez Tucker, 48, of San Francisco, president and chief executive officer of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Schwarzenegger also reappointed sitting board members Catherine Unger, 57, of Los Angeles, a private public affairs consultant who has been on the board since 2000; and Leslie Wang, 56, of Galt, senior multimedia technician with the San Joaquin Delta Community College District in Stockton who has been on the board since 1999.
