San Luis Obispo Tribune 9-15-03 Cal Poly housing projects delayed |
|
|
The groundbreakings for two Cal Poly housing projects have been delayed because school officials need more time to prepare their proposals for California State University trustees. While a 2,700-bed student housing complex is still on track for completion in fall 2006, school officials said, an employee housing project may be backed up past its fall 2005 conclusion date. CSU trustees are scheduled to vote on the projects' environmental-impact reports at Wednesday's meeting in Long Beach. Final financing approvals for the student and employee housing will likely happen in November and January, respectively. Groundbreaking for the student housing was planned originally for this month. Now that will happen in early winter 2004, according to Linda Dalton, the school's chief planning officer.
