SJSU prepares to find new chief

The search for a new president for San Jose State University begins this month.
Five California State University trustees have been named to a committee to find a replacement for former SJSU President Bob Caret, who has accepted the presidency at Towson State University in Maryland.

The committee will meet for the first time from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on June 12 at SJSU. It is the only search committee meeting that will be open to the public.

Trustees will discuss the role of the committee, set a schedule for future meetings, review descriptions of the campus and the presidential position and discuss other business related to the search.

The full board of trustees is expected to name a president before the fall semester ends in December.
