CSU Launches Revamped How to Get to College Poster and Website
April 3, 2012
The newest version of the California State University's award-winning How to Get to College poster is now available to prospective students, parents, teachers and counselors.
The poster contains a wealth of information about planning and preparing for college including financial options on how to pay for college. Since the first printing in 1999 more than four million copies of the free poster have been distributed, and it is now available in six languages including English, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Korean. The success of the CSU poster has led to similar efforts by universities in more than 20 other states. Thanks to sponsorship support from Boeing and ScholarShare, the free poster can be ordered at http://blogs.calstate.edu/college/index.php/teachers-counselors/order-poster/
Along with a new poster, the CSU has revamped its companion How to Get to College website http://blogs.calstate.edu/college/. After thoroughly testing and surveying students, parents and counselors, both the poster and website have been revised to better reflect the CSU's student diversity and to provide additional resources for students and parents.
The highly interactive website features blogs, videos, social media elements and comprehensive information and resources for middle school and high school students, parents, teachers and counselors. In addition to an English language version of the website, the CSU's How to Get to College website can also be viewed in Spanish.
