California State University, Los Angeles women's volleyball team claimed its first-ever CCAA (California Collegiate Athletic Association) championship, sharing the title with CSU Bakersfield with a league mark of 19-3 (19 conference wins is a new Cal State L.A. record). Additionally, the Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles have tied the University record for most wins in a season with 26 (last set in 1986). The Golden Eagles have set three new team season-records with a .269 hitting percentage (currently ranks 17th nationally), 337 block assists and 414 total blocks. The Cal State L.A. women's volleyball team also earned its sixth trip to the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Tournament in the last decade, after it was chosen as the No. 3 seed in the Pacific Regional hosted by Brigham Young University-Hawaii.
