Cal Poly Continues to Rate High in Number of Hispanic Graduates

In agriculture, architecture and engineering, Cal Poly continues to be among the top universities in the country in the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanics.

Cal Poly ranked second nationwide in architecture, third in agriculture and fourth in engineering in 1997-98 U.S. Department of Education statistics published in the May 5 edition of The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine.

In agriculture, with 46 Hispanic grads, and engineering, with 103, Cal Poly had the highest numbers in California.

Overall, Cal Poly ranked 36th in the nation, graduating 395 Hispanics among the 3,158 bachelor's degrees conferred.
