Dennis L. Wilcox, professor and coordinator of the public relations degree program in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, has been named one of the ten "outstanding PR educators" in the country by PRWeek, a major publication covering the public relations industry.

The February 7 issue recognizes Wilcox as a "major synthesizer of information, taking research from the field" and translating it for students in his major textbook, Public Relations Strategies & Tactics. The book is used in about 250 colleges and universities.
