CSUB, Korean University to Sign Pact

The Extended University Division and the Intensive English Language Center at California State University, Bakersfield have recently agreed to work together with Miryang National University in South Korea in program development, student recruitment and faculty exchange.

Miryang is sending its first two students to CSUB's Intensive English Language Center program this summer.

Miryang National University President Tae-Gil Choi and Miryang economics professor Seyhun Choi will visit IELC/CSUB this week to tour the university and for an official signing ceremony between CSUB President Tomás Arciniega and Miryang President Choi.

The signing ceremony, scheduled Friday morning, will be preceded by breakfast in CSUB's Dezember Leadership Development Center. The breakfast and signing ceremony are scheduled from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

"We're excited with this partnership and the opportunities, it presents us," said Mark Evans, interim dean of CSUB's Extended University. "We're delighted that President Choi and his colleague Professor Choi will be visiting us and collaborating in this important effort."
