Cal State L.A. Launches New Transfer Student Services Web Site

California State University, Los Angeles has announced a new Transfer Student Services Web site for students interested in transferring to Cal State L.A. This is the first of several proposed Cal State L.A. self-service Web sites.

Students who visit this site at can see current information on articulation of courses between Cal State L.A. and more than 85 California community colleges. Information is presented for individual courses, multiple subjects, general education and lower division major preparation.

Academic Affairs and Student Affairs advisers at both the community college and at Cal State L.A. can use this site to assist them in their efforts to advise and evaluate students' coursework taken at a California community college.

Cal State L.A. articulation officer, Dean of Undergraduate Studies Alfredo Gonzalez, emphasizes that transfer students are encouraged to receive general education certification from their community college before transferring.
