CSU Stanislaus changes mailing address to One University Circle
Turlock – (Sept. 18, 2007) Beginning today, September 18, 2007, the mailing address for California State University, Stanislaus is changed from 801 W. Monte Vista Avenue to One University Circle. The address change is part of an ongoing effort to raise the profile of CSU Stanislaus and to build a University Community in the City of Turlock.
The former address of 801 W. Monte Vista Avenue will remain in the U.S. Post Office system as an alias for one year, ensuring that all correspondence continues to be received by the University mail room without interruption. The one-year transition period also allows the University to prioritize fiscal responsibility through this change; materials with the new address – letterhead, business cards, and so on – will only be printed as current supplies run out.
The official new address is as follows:
California State University, Stanislaus
This latest endeavor takes place two months after the Turlock City Council adopted “University Way” as an honorary, secondary name to be added to Monte Vista Avenue throughout the city limits. The new “University Way” street signs will be installed before the end of the calendar year.
President Ham Shirvani said, “Together, the new mailing address and the celebratory name of ‘University Way’ reflect first steps in enhancing our town-gown relationship with the City of Turlock. In addition, these changes will be an effective marketing tool for CSU Stanislaus as we continue to raise the profile and stature of our great institution both locally and to broader audiences.”
