Michael Burgess

Prolific writer, historian, editor, librarian-scholar

Michael Burgess, Librarian Emeritus at CSU San Bernardino, has enjoyed a dual existence: he travels between the library and literary world. He joined the library staff in September 1970, retired, and has been on FERP status since September 2006. In his own words, "During my convalescence following a major heart attack in July 2003, I told my wife, Mary, that if I didn't survive, I wanted my three historical fantasy novels, which at that time remained unpolished and unedited, to see publication." But he recovered sufficiently to do the polishing and editing himself. Since March 2004, 16 of his books have been released by six different publishers, plus three others due out later in 2007. Michael's published books now total 110 volumes. He writes under his real name and as Robert Reginald. He was invited in March 2006 to edit a line of print-on-demand books for Wildside Press, and has since issued some 800 contracts. Visit Michael's website, www.millefleurs.tv for more details on his publications.
